Users must note here that the loaded money will include margin in advance. For example, if one adds Rs 2,000 to the digital wallet, he/she will get Rs 2,083.33 in the JioPOS Lite wallet. Also, recharge wallet for the first time has to be loaded with a minimum of Rs 1,000.

Reliance Jio has launched a new app that allows customers to earn cashback while doing prepaid recharge for other users. Called the JioPOS Lite, the app allows users to become a Jio Partner/Jio Associate for doing Jio customer recharges. The aim is to encourage online mobile recharges without the need to step out of the house.

Here are 12 things to know about the new app

The new Reliance Jio app is available for only for Android. The app is not available on Apple’s App Store.

Once downloaded, open the JioPOS Lite app. It asks for three permissions: Contacts to invite friends to Jio Family; Location: to find the closest Jio Stores; and JioNet Hotspots and Media to download bills, statements and invoices.

Available in English, the tutorial is a step-by-step guide on how to use the app.

Users will get an OTP on the registered Jio number to sign up on the JioPOS Lite app.

The app further asks for user’s work location. As mentioned above, the location will be used for finding the closest Jio Stores and JioNet hotspots.

The mPIN will be used to validate all transactions

These include UPI, debit card, netbanking and e-wallets like Paytm, PhonePe, JioMoney and Mobikwik.
