Sephora taps FreedomPay to expand payment, mobile POS options | Retail Customer Experience

Beauty retailer Sephora is deploying the FreedomPay commerce platform to expand payment and mobile POS options to customers at its 500-plus store locations.

The move reflects consumer desire for payment flexibility and greater payment control, according to a press release.

The payment options will include the capability to use digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

"Now more than ever, it is critical for us at Sephora to be able to adapt to the quickly changing retail environment and that's especially important at the point of sale," Sree Sreedhararaj, senior vice president and CTO at Sephora, said in the release. "Our clients desire a seamless experience in every step of the shopping journey, and our partnership with FreedomPay allows us to maximize efficiencies and capabilities at checkout."
