MenuSifu, a point of sale (POS) software developer, on July 27 announced it had closed a $20 million Series B fundraising round, led by Challenjers Venture. The funds will be used to further solidify the company’s position in restaurant digitization in the United States.

Research from eduMe shows that 63 percent of all consumers in the U.S. have reported at least one incorrect food delivery order since 2021. In the post-pandemic era, restaurateurs are now facing unprecedented challenges spurred by prolonged industry labor shortages and the rapid growth of online food delivery.

MenuSifu will leverage the new funds to provide restaurants with scalable all-in-one solutions, by upgrading software and expanding product lines that save on management costs while streamlining online ordering and delivery. A recent example is MenuSifu’s ‘one-click online ordering’ solution with Google, which allows consumers to place orders directly from Google search results.

Launching from a strong foundation with more than 15,000 accounts across all 50 states, including Michelin star-awarded restaurants, and other well-known names such as Bistro Na’s, Fu Niu Tang, Tiger Sugar, MenuSifu’s intelligent POS and online ordering solutions have modernized dining for the post-pandemic era.

MenuSifu’s core products include its flagship POS system, the most multilingual and customizable system currently available in the industry. Integrated within the system is their mobile and online ordering – MealKeyway, which enhances brand visibility and accessibility. Add-on accessories such as credit card processing, together with the POS, build a one-stop shop experience. Finally, Menusifu’s POS system helps record daily transactions, consolidate sales, inventory, and labor.
