Biker Geek June 8, 2022 3D printer Leave your impressionWe no longer present Anycubic, the famous 3D printer manufacturer of Chinese origin, of which we have already tested several machines.Among them is the Kobra Max, the high-volume version of the Kobra.Today, the manufacturer has just announced a new version called Anycubic Kobra Plus.With a print volume of 300 x 300 x 350 mm (compared to 220 x 220 x 250 cm for the small and 450 x 400 x 400 for the large), you would think that it is an intermediate model at Kobra FDMs.Still, with a slightly higher print speed (up to 100mm/s), Anycubic is targeting advanced users with the Kobra Plus.To ensure both print speed and print quality, the manufacturer has chosen to keep the Kobra Max's bowden type extruder on the Plus version.However, in particular thanks to its double gear, the latter which is moved along the doubled Z axis and powered by 2 motors still allows flexible filaments of the TPU type to be extruded.In addition, whatever the filament, the 45W heating cartridge will allow rapid heating of the nozzle.The Kobra Plus uses the automatic leveling system that has proven itself in other machines from the manufacturer, the Anycubic LeviQ.With 25 measurement points, it compensates for any irregularities and misalignments of the board.Coupled with the LeviQ, the removable micro-textured carborundum glass bed that can heat up to 100° allows flawless adhesion of the filament.When the latter runs out in the extruder, the filament sensor makes it possible to suspend printing to resume it after reloading the consumable.It is the same after a power cut, the process perhaps, thus avoiding a waste of time and a waste of filament.For more technical details, do not hesitate to consult the product sheet in our comparator.To accompany this new Kobra Plus, Anycubic has unveiled 2 new silky and matte PLA filaments available in several colors including rainbow.The Anycubic Kobra Plus has just been put online on the official website but it will only be available for sale from June 15th.The first 2000 models will be sold for $399.Then the price will jump to $499, so be prepared if you're interested!For those who prefer, it will also be sold on Aliexpress or Amazon.This test is my feedback after two months of living together with Sovol...Your email address will not be published.Mandatory fields are marked with *
