I agree with the limitations with Samsung Pay. Used it for nearly 3 years and had to open a new account to be able to use it. Interface is nice to have if you have a Samsung phone. Samsung Pay used to offer rewards but not heard of them in ages now. So this year I switched to Google Pay and it's amazing. Never going back again.

I disagree, we need competition (we're much off worse without LG (& LG Pay) & MS in the mix) & to be able to switch based on performance that year \ season. Google ain't great for rewards- except for accumulating points to reach Platinum Level. At that level, when you need tech support or have some other pressing issue you receive personal concierge type service. All that being said, in USA, the great rewards & bonuses Samsung Pay used to have all but disappeared. Hopefully with Wallet there's a renewed effort in that area. We need all the players & their membership perks because they each go thru cycles where their services\software\hardware are much the best or worst. Especially the behemoths- only they have the resources for great software & financial partnerships (even though they may go a year or two where their products are even worse than small players'). I'm typing this on an OP, but that's only because in that year they produced a flagship at like ½ the price of competitors (+ a free upper mid-tier on a certain carrier)- but that's it. A year or two later it's useless because they couldn't fix Android 11 removed features or 12's bugs like a Samsung could. And OP has no TV \ Cloud \ Wallet \ Rewards \ Credit \ Finance partnership \ $100\200 Upgrade Program. Yes, Samsung (& MS) misstepped \ simultaneously came out with all flops: Galaxy\Flip\Fold\Watch...and Apple hasn't improved specs in years, but they make up with other included offerings \ conveniences \ infrastructure you can't do without. Each of Apple, Samsung, Google, Microsoft has something valuable the others don't- it behoves a family or small business to have some hardware of each.

Because Samsung pay doesn't work in most of the world, still. Apple pay, almost everywhere. Samsung pay, almost nowhere. Google pay, the same as Apple pay. So the Samsung choice highly depends on where you live.

In my country, most payment terminal support wave which work with SamsungPay. Even I can use Samsung Pay to pay parking at shopping mall.

Samsung Pay or Samsung Wallet can never sucsess. Among 8 Billion people, it covers few 100 million people. The winner will be, who make own bank and offers whole package from bank account with credit or/and debit cards. Here (Slowenia - EU), we can not use Google Pay, nor Samsung Pay. We can use some Banks own Pay services, or Apple users can use Apple Pay with 1 bank or making Curve account and linking to Mastercard.

How many places of the world, can you use Samsung pay? 20%? In Europe it's little to nowhere. Samsung should actually drop pay and just stick to Google pay, since that works almost everywhere.
