Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given instructions to the officers to make the ration distribution scheme more efficient. Along with this, the self-employment system being provided to the youth under the scheme has been reviewed. While reviewing the Chief Minister's Ration-Aapki Gram Yojana, he said that the work of providing ration to the people should be continuously reviewed. He expressed happiness over the increasing number of beneficiaries and increase in the off take of food grains.
He said that the work of providing ration to the people in tribal dominated areas should be continuously reviewed. The youth of the tribal department will get benefit from this work. New avenues of self-employment will open for them.
CM Shivraj said that where youth have got benefit from self-employment, at the same time it has also been ensured that the villagers get food grains on time. The need for evaluation of this scheme, which provides food grains to seven and a half lakh people, and preparations should be made to make it more effective. It was informed in the meeting that the scheme is being monitored as per the instructions given by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the proposal has been prepared following the strict system of control at the state level.
The proposal includes setting up of a control command system at the state level, installation of GPS systems in vehicles used by youth for material delivery, bringing POS machines in 4G mode to the designated locations. This includes the task of monitoring the distribution of materials and assigning responsibility for the study of the plan. At present, the implementation of the scheme is being monitored by public representatives at various levels. Along with his suggestions, efforts have also been made to make the scheme effective continuously.
It was informed that before the implementation of this scheme, where on an average one lakh 73 thousand metric tonnes of food grains were being lifted, which has now increased to more than one lakh 80 thousand metric tonnes. Similarly, the number of subscribers has also increased.
Earlier, 7 lakh 14 thousand consumers were getting benefitted under this scheme. Now their number has increased to more than 7 lakh 30 thousand. The increase in different districts has ranged from 3 to 10 percent.
